Britain's Moral Cesspit

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/health/6524883.stm As the following link demonstrates it seems as though we reached a serious moral impasse in Britain, with science degraded to a point of Frankenstein proportions. To those of you who are unaware with the situation, top British scientists are requesting to fuse human DNA with animal eggs to create an early "hybrid life form", which scientists would then kill in order to extract the stem cells for further research. Naturally the moral implications of playing God by creating new life forms, and thereby blurring the natural barriers between man and beast do not enter the picture with these people; who simply argue that creating "hybrid cells" as they prefer to call them, would end the human egg shortage for such experiments and avoid the human morality debate, (public revulsion would be more apt....), while advancing the cause of science in the process. 223 medical charities and patient groups are therefore asking the government not to ban such monstrous experiments , but rather to "regulate" them in the quest to further advance the near magical wonders that stem cells are allegedly capable of, when it comes to medicine and quality of life. How low society has become, when those first wondrous acts of human life have been degraded to mere blobs of cells & tissue, in the public consciousness.......
