The Most Honourable, the Marquess of Mobile, has announced the enrollment of another Hero of Justice.
The Most Honourable Deputy First Class Hilery A. Mayo Jr., Hero of Justice, earned his place in the Dominion's highest Order of Honour for those who gave their lives in the servic e of Justice on 9 June 2007.
Deputy Hilery Mayo was killed in an automobile accident on Louisiana 40 while he and another deputy responded to an emergency call. Deputy Mayo had served with the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's Office since 1997. He is survived by his wife, mother, sister, and brother.
We pause to mourn the death of Deputy Mayo and honour his memory. Our thoughts, prayers, and deepest sympathies, go out to his family, friends, and all the members of his department.
We would like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for the citizens of St. Tammany Parish. And to your family and loved ones, we extend my deepest sympathy.
