Archdiocese of Mobile contributes 1200 WFP to Haiti Relief

MOBILE, Alabama - As of Friday, the Archdiocese of Mobile has contributed over US$250,000 (1,200 DBWF Pounds) to the Haitian earthquake relief efforts. Last weekend, Archbishop Rodi mandated a special collection to be taken up at all parishes and missions in Mobile.

The proceeds of this collection will be sent to Catholic Relief Services, a remarkable organization which has repeatedly demonstrated an outstanding ability to get help quickly and effectively to foreign countries in need of assistance. This is particularly true of their efforts in Haiti. (www.crs.org)
